Letters to No One
I have a habit of writing letters I never send. They are addressed to friends, strangers, and even the future version of myself. Some are apologies, some gratitude, and some I'm not quite ready to share.
These unsent letters have taught me the value of perspective. Writing to "no one" allows honesty without fear. It allows the heart to speak freely, unbound by expectations or judgment. In these letters, I confront mistakes, celebrate small victories, and articulate hopes that I might otherwise dismiss.
I have slowly, somehow, exchanged speaking with family and friends about every little detail of my life, and simply just making paper my friend in a funny way of speaking. It's therapeutic for sure.
As the holidays are upon us, I challenge you to find a paper friend and get it all, or a lot of it, out before the new year. Finish refreshed. Start anew.
